It was interesting - caught tons of fish, but all were less than 10" did catch a few a bit bigger, but nothing to write home about. Good numbers of fish up in the shallows if you want to throw a crankbait.

That's where I caught my 'record' LMB in '12 to win a t-shirt for largest LMB in AOTY.  I was trolling a wedding ring for Kokes when she grabbed it!  Must have trolled right over her nest and it annoyed her into a strike.  That's the way it goes some days.

There's some big girls in there for sure!! To see the fish caught this weekend check out https://tourneyx.com/app/tourney/okbf-tour-4-pine-hollow  I caught a 12-13" rainbow trolling a crankbait on my way back to the ramp, it hit the plug like a ton of bricks, thought it was a nice bass.

If the winds not too high in the afternoon  Wednesday Thursday Friday might be Tillamook Bay fishing. Jetty rocks early salmon trolling later.

I will be in PC Friday through Wednesday.  Will be trying for some coho although the reports haven't been that good. I might hook up with Mojo if the ocean gets too rough.

Oh, coho sounds fun! I've only done that from a boat in the past other than one I got lucky and caught on a shrimp fly while bottom fishing. Between the wife hitting me with honey does, and other new plans I've booked myself solid. I hope that you get into them!

How did you folks do at GP?
I have Friday off and was considering Depoe with GP as a backup.

Kokanee were holding in the deeper water (100ft) closer to the main body of the lake.  I think Quartzville Arm is getting too warm for the season (74F) and you'd do better launching from Thistle Creek and heading to Whitcomb Island or up a couple bends into Quartzville where the water is deeper and colder.  The main body of the lake was windy and white caps today, which is why I like Quartzville -- nice and protected.  I went home with 10 kokes, great day!

Ill be heading to Tillamook Bay Friday if anyone's interested.  With a 10 am launch and a noonish low tide you won't have to be up at the butt-crack of dawn.

I tried cottage grove over the weekend. Couldn't catch a bass to save my life. In my defense no one else seemed to be catching them either. Pretty sure I missed "the spring bite". The crappi were biting everything though, rappalas, spinnerbaits, sinkos. I eventually gave up and put on a crappi jig. There are tons of crappi in there!

Hey Casey! Dorena Lake next door is the better of the two lakes for bass than Cottage Grove. They are all over the place in there. Smallmouth and largemouth. Wacky dropshot pumpkin or watermelon with black flake senko. Just twitch it off the bottom. Lethal! The smallies like the leech senkos of the same colors.

I have never caught a Crappie out of either lake before. hmmm... Were they of any size?

I'm hoping to get there.  I had a big elaborate plan to make it happen for Saturday, then quickly realized I had planned the wrong day.    I'll post up.

Wasn't epic but it was a blast and I met another member today but neglected to get his forum name and I'm not posting his real one. We launched at 1020ish headed in around 1430 ish I let a couple bait size go and brought 5 home for fish tacos at my kids' place in seaside this coming Wednesday. Ray decided to be the star fir the day with this beautiful catch.

Thanks again for taking me out on the bay, guys! I learned a lot today and caught fish, that's a great day.

No big fish for me to write home about, but I had a blast and took home some dinner to make the lady happy. Neglected to take any pictures of my haul, but did snap one of my first fish of the day.

Looking forward to the fish tacos and getting into the crab next time.

It was good meeting you today hydro.  Next time we'll take some pots out with us and try to get some crab to go with the fish tacos.
I'm glad you were able to make it out today also mojo.  It was a decent day and everyone got some fish.
My wife yelled at me for not keeping that star.  I don't know why she wanted it 🤔.
