PC Dory Feedback

Hey Guys and Girls,

There's a whole lot of discussion by some of the Dory guys about kayakers dropping crab traps in the transit path from the launch zone in Pacific City.  Apparently last weekend it was really bad and people were rightfully concerned that their path to be beach was clogged with people pulling traps and that they were chancing wrapping buoy lines in their props when heading out and coming in. 

This should be common sense but for those of you who aren't familiar with the protocol out there, please either paddle around the cape (north) or head just south of the rock to drop your traps.  Also, make sure that you are using sinking line on your crab traps and floating it with full size buoys (not the little oval net floats).

The Dory guys have been very accepting of the influx of kayakers.  Let's do our part to keep that relationship strong.

Thank you for letting people know - hopefully we can maintain a good relationship with the dory community.

It's important that we police ourselves and maintain a good relationship with the Dory fleet.  Who needs the hassle of factionalism getting in the way of valuable fishing time.
