Caught a nice buck today in the Snohomish River, right near the railroad bridge just upriver from the new Snohomish boat ramp. It was 26" long, 7lb 14oz. It was a lot different than the ~5 lb humpies that I have been catching from the start. Here a couple pictures. The second was taken after I got home and all three of my daughters and my niece wanted to be in the picture, too.  :D

I caught in a pink Dick Nite spoon rigged the way I saw in JoshPA14's videos, so thanks Josh.

Got it from Amazon here: Scuba Max Dive Reel

I got the blue one with 270 feet of line and then removed about 50 feet of the line so I could actually get it all back on there without having to be super careful about layering it perfectly. It's working great so far. I pull the anchor up into the boat and then throw the line back out into the water so I can reel it up easily. Trying to reel the anchor up with the dive reel was more difficult.

Awesome catch! Glad the set up worked for you. Beats my largest for the year. I use the exact same set up for trolling coho. I just add about 3 feet of leader to the weight hanging down so I can feel when I hit bottom hopefully without snagging up. Just change colors to a 50/50, chartreuse, 50/50 blue, or a frog pattern.

I had gotten two of the same line spools a few years ago (also from Amazon) and for anchor lines.

Leave it to Tyler.  ???  Everybody else is staring at the big fish dangling in the foreground and you're checking out the kayak interior.  ;D  Where are you guys at these days? One of my anticipated activities heading back to "the Couve" was to get out together and go chase some trout, Tenkara style. And not to hijack the thread, hit me back in a pm Tyler.
