It looks like this Sunday might be my last day on the water for a few weeks. With these rains, there might even be a few fish to catch. Any interest in chasing some coastal chrome?

I've spent more time and had better luck on the Nehalem near Wheeler. However, the rivers dumping into T-bay should have fish around as well.

I'd love to fish on Sunday, but my wife will be out of town presenting at a scientific meeting and I'll be home alone to watch our son.  However, as a federal employee I do have Tuesday the 11th off  if anyone is interested.

If the rains don't knock the rivers out of shape the Tillamook rivers should be your best bet.

I will be down bobber fishing for salmon all weekend.  Will be fishing out of my sled but a yak would work fine.  I would suggest launching at 5th street ramp on the Trask and fishing up or down river. Try paddling into the slough off the Trask below the hospital hole, its the 1st slough on the right side if you are headed down river from the ramp.  Lots of good protected bobber and egg holes (whole river is 5mph).  I have been getting a few fish in the last few weekends (its been a slow year) hope to finish filling my 5 Tillamook fish allotment for the year, Have one to go, have let some smaller fish go to wait for that big one!  Feel free to shoot me any questions about this fishery.  One of the better places for a yak fishermen to have a chance at a fall salmon. I have caught a few out of the yak in years past but the sled is just a better platform to fish from for this fishery, more room for eggs, food, HEATERS, etc. etc.
