Crabbing/fishing in front of the dog park in Edmonds marina?

Good stuff Rox, I can definitely see those features you mention.  Zooming out, it is interesting to see the terrestrial landscape extending into the water and continuing its features below the sea. 

I'm used to looking at this stuff on a much smaller scale, poring over lake maps for good bass ambush spots and whatnot.  Always trying to find the "zone" where many things come together for a high probability of fish (example: Find a point.  Near deep water access.  Near a spawning flat.  With cover like fallen trees around. = likely bass) . Never really had to consider the way it would affect the water/current flow in these bodies of water.                     

For a more macro look at these features, what are you keying in on out there when scouting out locations to fish?  I'm assuming the typical features of points, humps, ledges work everywhere but is there some more specific ocean and sound type structural features to look out for and be aware of?

I'm not the one to ask about that - I've got a horrible fishing/catching ratio...     Gonna have to get better fishermen to answer that one!
