A quick report-

Haven't downloaded the photos and didn't take many, since there were no AOTY fish. :'(

Saturday, Janni and I spent a couple of hours at Rufus. We launched at Brandt's Landing (7 miles up the S shore) and drifted upstream. We caught about a dozen bows and 1 perch. Saw a fair number of rises and jumping fish. It seemed like mostly small fish in the shallows, but I'm guessing that will soon improve. We caught a few on mini-jigs, a few on a small gold spoon and a bunch on a sculpin fly pattern fished off a sinktip line. We didn't see any 20"+ fish (ours were from 12-18"), but it is earlier than when we started hitting it, last year. Might be worth trying up by the net pens, to look for some of the brutes.

Sunday we stayed here in the valley and went up to Patterson (near Sun Mtn.) for some spiny rays. We kept about a dozen of the larger perch, but again, nothing spectacular. Saw lots of new planter trout jumping.
