I received this a a gift over the holiday, but I am going out to the open sea always go 100 to 120 feet from shore. So I don't think I will need this, I was thinking selling this for $65. If you are interested, please contact me, I go to Portland one in a while, Oregonian should check this out.

brand new, just open for a look, 2 batteries, charger, hand piece.

I have that model and it has worked well.

You are the captain of your boat of course, but I would recommend you hang on to it. Any situation in the open ocean regardless of distance from shore could turn into a situation that would benefit from the use of this device. I even enjoy using mine on other large bodies of water for communication and to hear ship traffic, weather updates, etc.

Just a suggestion!

It's a good suggestion, too.  If for no other reason than to aggravate the folks you're fishing with.

But seriously, think about a medical emergency where you or someone with you may need help crossing that 120 feet back to shore.

Just my thoughts.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

I would hold onto it. It can do more good than harm, and you didn't need to buy one. WIN WIN
