Planning on fishing Hagg Lake this Saturday.  Will be at Ramp A at 9 if anyone would like to join me.  Planning on trolling for trout and maybe some bass fishing if I can find some.

I'll most likely be free, and it's close. :)
Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

I was considering going out there on sat. Maybe not that early, depending on when I wake up.  I will be in a red hobie tandem island if I am out there though and will look out of you!

I have been dying to get out on the water.  Its been way too long.  I might see you guys out there.   :banjo:

If I can roust my son out of bed that early, I'll be in a dune Oasis.  If I'm flying solo, I'll be in a yellow Outback!

Got everything loaded except the kayak.  Just installed my fish finder and waiting on the glue to set on the puck.  See you all in the morning.  It probably won't be bright and early though.  I'll give a holler on channel 69 when I get there.

I totally forgot I have a class I'm taking Saturday mornings, so I won't be there until at least 3.  I went out this afternoon and it was brutally windy.  I was trolling at 1.5 mph sitting still, and 1.8 if I picked up my paddle. :)  I launched at boat ramp C this time and marked a bunch of fish in the 40-60 foot depth zone about 10-20 feet down which is also where I caught most of my fish.  I didn't get anything over about 12" but I was only there for about an hour and a half.  I saw a bunch of what I assume were bass when I got into the shallower stuff on the north end of the lake near Scoggins hugging the bottom but I just had trolling gear with me (and the water is still at an oh so toasty 44 degrees).  I had intentions of trying the Sain Creek area but after paddling south into waves and headwind I opted to head in.  I had 5 or 6 fish in about an hour and a half, so not horribly bad.  Hopefully the weather is nicer for ya'll in the early hours tomorrow.  Also, if you do ever forget any gear, the Lake Stop has a good selection and doesn't even have much of a proximity markup.  Incidentally, I did better with corn today than with nightcrawlers or combined, but I did get a few half worms back so they obviously weren't completely scoffing at the presentation.

Thanks for the trip report :-).  I have to run an errand in the morning so will be closer to 10 for me.  Willyweather shows winds dropping down tomorrow to single digits.

I'll be on 69.

Argh! It seems the transmission gods have decreed I will not be fishing today.  Shifting into reverse is apparently important.  >:( See y'all another day :-(

Sorry to hear about your transmission.

We got to the lake around 09:30 and launched from the paddle craft launch area.  We made one pass down along the dam and on the return trip I hooked a small rainbow.

He had no ideas about staying around for a picture though.  He went ballistic and with a flip of his tail, he was gone.

I did manage to catch him with my foot for a split second before he flopped off and back into the water.

We marked a lot of fish but they were pretty deep.  We were long-lining and had no lead to get down to them.  A lot of the PBs we saw were all running lead I'm guessing from the bend in their rods.  We saw a lot of fish caught both on the water and from the bank.  If you're going to try Hagg Lake, I'd suggest taking some sinkers with you if you are going to troll.

We did see another kayak out there.  A TI it looked like.  I'm guessing shin, that was you.  Sorry, we never met up out there.

Weather and wind conditions looked like a perfect day on the water.  If only I could get motivated to do something this winter.  :-\

It was a great day out there.  Sunny and very little wind.  I'm glad we got out on the water.

Bummed  :-\  Glad someone got out there, it was as beautiful as I thought it was gonna be. Gotta decide to fix or replace.  No kayaking for me until then. :-(

I think I saw a few of you guys yesterday. I was in a white alumacraft powerboat looking at a red tandem island with envy, and another yellow oasis maybe.

I was indeed running lead, 1-2oz, about 50ft line out. 2 got more bites. I was using wedding rings with a dodger. Beautiful day out there and wished I had my revo with me.

Hi kimeun, my son and I were in a dune colored Oasis down by the dam.  I wished I would of remembered to grab some weights.  I marked a lot of fish there.  Next time we'll get'em.
