Forecast looks good for Saturday.  Anybody else heading down there for an early launch?  I will either be heading to Depoe or Pacific City.

I am thinking of PC but will have Depoe as a backup.  Hope the forecast holds.

I've been watching that forecast too.  If it pans out, I'll likely be at Depoe.  My only concern are the big waves forecast for Thursday: sometimes there can be some nasty leftover "slop" waves still lingering around after the storm.  But if it's looking alright by Friday evening, you can expect to see me there Saturday morning  :).

Hey Clayman, if it does indeed pan out, what time are you thinking of heading out? I got an invite for PC, but I like Depoe much better than PC.

Probably show up to the ramp around 0630, but given my tendency to enjoy my coffee and BS with other anglers in the morning, I doubt I'll be OTW until 0730.  I recently moved to Newport, so now I'm only like 15 minutes from Depoe Bay...really excited to fish the heck out of this port this summer  ;D.

Mind sending out an update on Friday since you are near the coast?  Unsure if i am headed to PC/Depoe or somewhere else.  All depends on the forecast.  Either way i will be out on the water.

That sounds good. I will be watching closely. I might be getting there later, I think my wife may have mentioned that I could go fishing after I drop my daughter off at the school for a b-ball conference of some sort. I will have to see if that is negotiable  ???

Sounds like it may be a decent grouping

I should be at Depoe on Saturday but I'm not sure when I'm going to launch. My family is staying at the condos over the weekend, so I'm just going to watch the water and play it by ear. Based on the wind forecast, I'm thinking I might actually sleep in an launch around midday. I'm skeptical that forecast is correct but looks pretty nice!

So far, so good. Forecast seems to be holding at pretty decent. I would rather slay some bottom fish than paddle around all day without a sniff from a Willy Chinook.

I need to get on and off the water early.  I am going to arrive around 6 in preparation to launch at 6:30.  Will be off the water around 11:30.
