A heads up for you Hobie Island series kayaks out there. Hobie has a great upgrade option out there. I don't know the range of eligible kayaks but I emailed my dealer to apply for the upgrades and Hobie mailed them direct to my home at no cost to me. My kayak is a 2017 TI. The upgrades were for the new design fins, the aka locking upgrades and a guide to prevent the furling line from jamming under the mast bearing.

Thats what I heard but there are a lot of ideas on the Hobie.com forum to make it easier. The option is to rig a keep in system or risk the akas coming loose on the water. I have not installed mine yet and mine is only 1 season old and has not been in the salt, which I believe can cause some difficulty removing the screws (heads sheering off). I would recommend searching the threads on Hobie.com forum before attempting the change over.
