Just joined this site, and I am eager to see what I can learn! I spent a few years fishing from a kayak when I lived in the Rockies, and am eager to start expanding my horizons and fishing here.  I am hoping to invest in a good hobie and try out the salt!

Welcome to the NWKA forum!  This is a great group of people and lots of shared information about various fisheries.  Being a transplant from MT, I have really come to appreciate kayak fishing for a variety of species year round.  Lots of fun to be had, and people willing to meet up for group outings.  Tillamook Bay Kayak Day is coming up soon, Oregon Rockfish Classic at Depoe Bay is great event, and Heroes on the Water is a worthwhile organization that relies on kayak fishing volunteers (different chapters go to different bodies of water to fish, so watch for notices).
