That's what I thought.   :dontknow:

I'm sure he'll be around soon to take over from Craig and really get this potluck rolling!

What day is the pot luck being held?  If there's still a fish taco feed, I'll volunteer to fillet fish again.

Meh... He has his hands full with a small child.  My kids pretty much ignore me, so I thought I would get this rolling.  Although, my oldest finally decided to try kayaking last night and now is hooked.  :icon_thumleft:

Also, for those bringing oil, Sam and I discovered during last year's ORC that it is significantly cheaper to buy 5 one gallon jugs vs one 5 gallon jug.  Weird.

Color me unimpressed.  My first year (2013) running the taco feed I had a newborn, 1.5 year old, 7 year old and 9 year old.  Last year they were 4, 5.5, 11 and 13.  I've also got a full time job, and one of those years I was even just starting an MBA program.

Also, I just purchased 3 Invasive Species permits from the Oregon Marine Board. Apparently the one I have been using all year expired last year. Huh. Ah well, what is done is done.  Anyways, if there are any out-of-staters that are on the edge of deciding, if saving $5 tips the scales, let me know in a pm.

They are good for two years so for you shad fisherman that come down for one day of slaying them, let me know when you are coming next year. You know who you are. ;)  I canned some this weekend. Delicious. Especially, the one I spilled the sriracha in.

I will be there as well. Really looking forward to it! Let me think about what to bring. Our garden is coming along nicely...

Incidentally, I just called Shaun at Chinook Bend and he said he might offer to be the rep/leader for the event in future years because he's a corporation. I let him know that the tax law changes have affected how we do things, and he certainly doesn't know all the details, but it might be good for someone knowledgeable about the details to have a discussion with him on this.

I'll be at Chinook Bend on the 5th leaving on the 8th. I'll bring some firewood and casserole of some sort.
