2019 Hobie Outback canine recovery practice

this might seem backwards but I have concluded that having a canine fishing partner that really really really wants to stay on the boat with you, well that can be the best. 

fishing or crabbing on serious waters (that are safe on a boat but not so much in the water) I can't have my Lab partner going on a 'swim-about'...my first black Lab, Zippo, born 1990, we swam in wilderness lakes, the Columbia river, Lake Coeur d' Alene, and the ocean, but he would have been the worst on a kayak, always trying to get in the water.  Pepper is messed up but she trains and picks up commands very quickly...taken together, in this situation, it works fine.



The video shows me moving all around on the new Outback with her on board and me climbing back on from the water, (what about standing up on the very back with her on board?) and eventually both of us go in the water- it was easy to help her up onto the rear deck from in the water, which is what I needed to confirm.  cheers, roger

FYI-  that's 270 pounds of mammals moving around on the rear deck of my Outback, I highly recommend it!  (the only thing in the front hold is a 4# sonar battery).
