Welcome to the cure !!!!! Oh, and thanks for the reel, it works great. I just can't figure out how to reel with my right and control the rod with my left ???

You'll find that all of your questions will be answered many times over with this group.

Welcome Hoggemin.  Answers are elusive, but I can share my mistakes all day long.

See you on the water.

Hoggeman,

Where are you located?  If you're in the Portland area and want to give it a try first, I have a couple extra kayaks as well as spare pfds and paddle.  Alternatively, a lot of kayak shops will rent kayaks first and then deduct the rental price from a purchase of a kayak.

Welcome Hoggemin,

This is a great place to get information on kayak fishing.  I just started last summer and this forum has been a great source of help and information.  A really nice group of people.  Hope you enjoy it - Alan

Hey All,
I bought a reel from Hoggemin not too long ago. He's a salty dog and will probably have a few words of wisdom for the big blue pond...
