It's time to get more and suddenly I can't find the bottles labelled as Marine/Recreational in stores or online.  Has it been dropped in the US?  It's still available in Australia.  Is the stuff marked simply as 303 Protectant the same or "as good as"?

I knew I should have ordered a gallon of it!

Amazon has it.

West Marine has it.

Oh sure, YOU can find it.  Darned if that gallon jug didn't show up when I searched Amazon this morning.  I guess I'll go for a gallon this time.

West Marine's price has jumped $5 - with shipping, that 16oz will cost what I paid for a the quart I just used-up.

Thank you.

That seems logical but they still market them separately in other countries.  I don't know if it's a marketing decision or some sneaky sociai commentary.

And if you apply it every time you use the kayak and several times in the rainy season, the kayak eventually starts resisting bathtub rings and is a lot easier to clean after use.  But mostly it's sunscreen for plastics.

it also helps the winters snail poop and general grime to clean off, just doesn't stick to the Yak as bad with the 303 applied.

I know that this is late but ACK has 15% everything today with a code of FLASH15.  I just ordered the Marine grade 303 for about $17 for 32oz.  Don't think that I really need a gallon.

Thanks, Clay!  I have the gallon but I could use some in a spray bottle to give to a friend.  Nobody gets MY stash.

I wanted to follow up with this.  I ordered the Marine stuff for myself and then I decided to reach out to Gold Eagle Co, the manufacturer of 303.  I asked if the different labels were the exact same product or were they actually different formulas.  Hope that this information is useful.  This is the response that I received:

"Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Gold Eagle. Yes, 303 Aerospace protectant comes in 3 different labels, which reflect the markets in which they are sold physically. These are:

303 Automotive Protectant
303 Aerospace Protectant
303 Aerospace protectant Marine/Recreational

Again, these labels feature the same formula, benefits and mode of application.

Hope this is useful. If there are any questions, please feel free to let us know.

Thanks.

Also, I love 303. Great for the boats, great for drysuit gaskets, rubber boots, all kinds of stuff. It does make things slippery, though! (be careful lifting your kayak - DAMHIK)
