Hey everyone, I'm Erik's Schmidt's (browneyesvictim) spouse. I have a Hobie Revo which I caught my first salmon (25 lb) a few years ago on the Coquille. I am not as brave as ya'll when it comes to ocean fishing so I stick to rivers and lakes. Although, I have gotten some salt on my yak in Newport Bay (Oregon) and Puget Sound between Lopez Island and Shaw Island. That was a ride for sure. We have plans to camp in Netarts this year for the first time and we are hoping to get our Hobies wet there. I am the "official" points keeper for Sunset Bay AOTD now and will be posting the official results very soon. Thank you all for your patience. I work full time 12 hour shifts and Erik works full time as well so we stay very busy. We bought a nice camper a little over a year ago so we have been enjoying getting out and enjoying life with our two Boxer pups and of course, our Hobies.

Hi, Esther - if I could catch fish as nice as that in a river, the ocean would be optional for me, too.  Nice fish!  And I'm glad you decided to join the forum.  Looking forward to more tales of success.

The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Welcome, Esther, and thanks for helping run the AOTD this year. It was a great event. Also thanks to all the other regulars who held it together in Roy's absence.
