Dave(goldendog) and I fished the Umpqua for Sturgeon today. We launched At about 9AM in a steady drizzle and pedaddled(my new word for pedaled/paddled) the 45 minutes to marker 12. The current was with us but the slight wind and drizzle was directly in our faces, foggin up our eyeballs.

We anchored and soaked some bait for a couple hours. Not even a bite, no critters munching so my bait came back pristine every time, save for junk hung up on it.

The drizzle stopped and half sun peeked out warming up my cold feet after the first hour of parking. We rode the tide in and back out , it made for a nice Kayak ride on a river i've never been on, so it was fun anyway.

Snotty on the way up:

Nice on the way back:

It really was a purdy pedaddle home:

See ya on the water..

Nice to at least see and hear that some of us are getting out on the water.  Looks like you had a good paddle/peddle.  I hope to do the same soon.

Pain!?!?!
Man, that looks like a great day of fishing!
(fish are optional)

It's certainly WAAAY better than 2 weeks of packing boxes and sorting though 10 years of accumulated junk!

Thank you Allen.

But pay no attention to the man behind the orange Hobie. I'm just whining.
I'll be back in 70 degree water and 80 degree air next week.

A few more photos from our Sunday pedaddle.

Such a beautiful day!
