I have been off the water for 6 weeks dealing with selling a house and all of the associated BS and weekend projects. Time to get back after it.

Wondering where folks have been chasing salmon with any success. Saw a good number of boats (no Kayaks) above Bonneville last weekend. Getting close to when Tillamook Bay starts getting good.

Not seeing reports here lately but am sure some of y'all are having success. Look forward to seeing folk on the water.

Cross most of the Columbia off your list, it closes tonight.

Clipped coho stays open from Buoy 10 to Tongue Point through Oct. 31.

People are catching right meow  ;D. You should have a good shot in most of the bays right now, it's just that most folks are keeping quiet about it. I've had success on three of my last four trips out over the last week. Cut-plug herring, right on the bottom, incoming tide. Bring extra bait, some days the Coho are ravenous.

MEOW !!
It's that time of year.  Get out there and play even if you don't see a recent report, go make your own and have a great experience.

Drove from Gold Beach to Florence this week. Every bay clogged with boats right now. I suppose it's time to go.

I took the kayak to Tillamook Bay Ghost Hole Thursday the 19th. Seemed very slow fishing, 20 boats and I saw no nets and not a single mark on my fishfinder. I had an abortive attempt at Hospital Hole Wednesday but the wind was really blowing me around and making it difficult to control my kayak or cast spinners.

I have this Sunday off so I am thinking of trying the coast again if the wind remains manageable.
