I saw this last night on the Colbert Report.  It was funny IMHO. Their logic is all wrong.  They should have changed the name to sea puppies.

The PeTA portion is about 1:30 into the video.

Here is the PeTA link.

I might have to get a T-shirt.

I think this has been on every fishing board I know about.

What we really should be doing instead is to start referring to tasty little mammals people don't eat enough of as "land fish".

Here's my make a sea_kitten...

I saw that as well... freakin' funny!! I especially liked the "land fish" remark! :D
BTW don't buy the shirt, you'd be supporting their wackyness! Someone's gotta make a bootleg of the T...

That is basically what Colbert was saying.

I was kidding about buying their shirt, but a bootleg is a good idea.

I tried to use one of the sea kittens for my avatar, but I was to stupid to get it to work.  When I tried to upload it to my photo bucket account, the upload failed.

A nice picture of a rabbit or lamb in the same style as the peta "sea kittens" with the words "land fish" under it would be good.

Here's some more PETA wackiness..  they've offered a million dollars to the first creator of viable in vitro meat.

Test-tube meat prize..

I thought this comic was good response...

A sea kitten spoof site..sort of.  It's the Peta Site in a frame with an interesting ad choice on top.
