Siltcoos coho, 12/16/2019

If you've got a hankering for a fresh coho, Siltcoos Lake is still producing some shiny ones. Picked up a fresh 26" hen trolling a Blue Fox spinner along the south shore, along with a couple nice cutthroat. I never saw a fish roll and the half dozen trailers in the boat ramp lot were still there by the time I left around 1300, so I don't think the lake is exactly stuffed with fish at the moment. But this week's rains may change that. There was a significant algae bloom on the west side of the lake, but the east side and Fiddle Creek arm were much cleaner.

Nice!  I’m dying for some fresh coho.
