Well, I guess this is kind of an ad? Are those allowed? I dunno. If I'm out of line feel free to delete this thing.
For those of you who don't know me, I'm the store manager at Next Adventure Paddle Sports Center. Long story short, I have a lot of stuff at the shop and in our warehouse that I would love to see gone. This includes kayaks, PFDs, dry suits, gear, all kinds of stuff. So, if you're stuck at home and want to do some work on your boat, or get a new boat to rig up, or just want some other random new kayak fishing stuff, give me a call at the shop - (503)233-0706 . I'm here from 10-5 every day and will cut you the absolute best deal that I can on anything we've got in stock.
If you don't need any gear right now, here's a fun video so that you don't feel like you wasted your time by reading this post:

You didn’t get flagged and that’s a good thing because of all you guys do for this community (NWKA) and HOW. I say feel free to post up a couple daily specials now and then. Are you shipping? Can you local delivery (mile limit)? Can we pick up curbside as a takeout? Is your door open for 6ft apart browsing? Give us some details man.

Shipping: definitely. Free shipping on damn near everything in Oregon and Washington. I think boats might be excluded from that, but depending on the scenario we can work something out.
Local delivery: also yes. Also free. If it's more than about an hour from the shop, then we just send it with UPS though.
Curbside pickup: you better believe it. Me and CJ are at the shop every day so people can still get their stuff.
Doors are closed, but we have been doing appointments where we only allow one customer in the store at a time if there's something specific they'd like help with.

Great idea on posting deals. I'll start that up tomorrow! Any thing in particular people would like to see deals on? I'm guessing boats, but I could be wrong.

While not a classified ad, that section might be more appropriate.

Are you doing gear install or any kayak mod work at this time? I've been looking to get my fish finder set up and also some pad eyes put around the front hatch for my catch bag and I'm still too concerned about not doing it right myself.

Then, hopefully, one of these days I'll be able to get out and use (try) everything for the first time.

Yeah bud, we should be able to get you set up. It's been a little tricky getting installs done when there's only one of us in the shop at a time, but I could call one of my install guys in to knock it out. Just give me a call and we'll figure something out for ya!

For today's NWKA deal - we've got a few size Large "rep sample" Stohlquist EZ drysuits. Typically rep samples are basically a suit that gets used for demos, however, these ones never got used. They are brand new suits that we just can't sell as new suits because we bought them as samples. Anyway, MSRP on the EZ suit is $499 - we're letting these go for $350.
If you want a different drysuit, let me know. I've got a bunch in stock and will be happy to work with you guys on any of them.

Just curious, looking at the sizing chart I am a medium in height and a large in weight. probably a medium/large in waist, not sure about chest. Any recommendations on the fit of a large for a not so skinny guy (5'10", 190 lbs)

I'm 5'7" and 170 lbs. Except for my chest (44") I'd be swimming in a large. Maybe in another 15 lbs or so I'd be able to fit in a medium. Medium stout perhaps?

I'm 5'11 and 175 and the large fits me perfectly - medium is too short by a good bit. I'm pretty certain you'd be good to go with the large as well!

Thanks for the info! It may be time to upgrade from my farmer john NRS wetsuit, at least for the colder weather. Do you guys find you overheat in the dry suit? Is there a temperature threshold for when you choose something lighter?

There are a couple of brands that do medium stout sizing. I'll shoot you a PM to see if we can find something for you!

I wear my drysuit pretty much year round in the ocean and just vary my baselayer depending on how much insulation I need. You may have seen people refer to the "120 rule" in here: if the air & water temp combined are under 120 degrees, you should be wearing a suit. I've never felt too hot with appropriate base layering in that scenario.

Been doing a little more digging to see what we've got around. I've got two rep sample Pescador Pilot 12.0s. $1,000 each takes them!
