Hey all,
New member here from Brookings. I am mostly a freediver/spearfisherman, but I would love to start kayak fishing for salmon and crabbing here in Southern Oregon. anyone do this down here? I plan on getting a yak this year, and I look forward to meeting up and learning from all of you! If anyone lives nearby and likes to clam or mushroom, I am game. Thanks,
Chance

Hey Chance, welcome. I'm from Brookings and we've got a small group of kayak fishermen here. I also mushroom hunt and would like to give spear fishing a try. We're kayak fishing tomorrow morning if you want to meet up?

I’m in Eureka, fish everywhere from Shelter cove CA to Crescent City, Brookings, Gold Beach, and everywhere in between. Brookings is a great spot, will be fishing there again after we are allowed. There’s guys and gals from here, Medford, GP and points nearby that meet up there to fish. Always nice to see the locals but honestly don’t run into too many local Brookings kayak fishermen.

Hopefully there will be a bubble fishery this year. I try to make it every year, still looking for my 50#er.

Crash, good to hear from you, I am hoping for a bubble fishery too that sounds great! Keep me posted when you're around.
