You northerners can talk, but the south coast crew is controlling the board right now....its obvious where the serious anglers are.  ;)
Enjoy the ride!

and yes, the S.Coasters are way more likely to win, simply 'cuz we have better weather more often and.......CBY is RETIRED from work!!!!!! :D
I got a few boats to clean down at the Port the next few days, after that, I'm fishin' again!

Yawn. Pipe down, you kids. You're disturbing my mid-winter nap. >:(

Such squealing and excitement after a measly month. The ice isn't going to be off the lakes, here, for a couple more months, and it'll be even longer til the passes open and the salt water will be closer.

In the meantime, you south coast softies, enjoy your temporary leads, because there will be a different kind of squealing coming from you by this fall. You have a LONG drive to find walleye! :D

BTW, why do you guys post those teeny baits as lings? ??? >:D

Sweet Box, glad your healing good!! jump on in. You ever get up Port Orford way? Wanna fish Garrison Lake sometime?

and i'm not RETIRED... I'm SEMI-RETIRED. I worked at least 200 hours last year...... I only fished 300 and something. ;)
See ya on the water..

I'm feeling generous.  I think I'll give y'all a 3month head start.... maybe 4.

I'm thinking about winning it this year in an Ocean Kayak instead of a Cobra.  Just to make it sporting.   >:D

I vote to give Pisco Sisko AOTY points for his trout and perch. In reality, if he had dragged his kayak out on the ice, and fished through the hole while sitting in the yak, it would have counted. Being on the water is being on the water, even though it's frozen. Just my opinion!

While it would be nice to get on the board, I'm not very worried about getting points for those fish. Scoring higher points will be a slam dunk, unless I do something truly crazy, like break both of my legs, twice. :o

The main factor preventing me from dragging either my wherry or inflatable on the ice is laziness. ::) Minor factors include concern about possible damage to the inflatable in the extreme cold, and the public exhibition involved in dragging a boat on to 15" of ice.! :-[ Heck, there were tracks on the ice from someone driving a truck, this past weekend, so it's not like I could claim some big safety factor.

Someone sitting on a kayak fishing through a hole in the ice would make a funny picture.
