Whew!  Thought for a panicked second I had missed a plug of nookies coming into my home waters!  Those are really nice fish, just what we're looking for in Feb.  I think the San Juan area holds nice fish all year 'round, unlike area 11, where they disappear from January to May.

Prolly less, didn't Yessno buy a Hobie with pedal drive?

I live on Maury Island, about a mile from Dockton Park boat launch.  Not much farther to Tramp Harbor, nice beach launch and good fishing

There's also good parking and good gravelly beach launch at Point Robinson Park.

It would be an interesting paddle across from Fauntleroy, but a little risky---very exposed to wind and current.  In later spring, the DOlphin Point fishery on north end of Vashon is excellent for both kings and silvers.

I my younger days (1982-1989), I lived on Beach Drive near Alki beach, I used to get my exercise by paddling my little rotomolded Chinook sea kayak (sit-in) from Alki over to Seattle and get some fries at Ivar's.
