hello everyone my name is Tony and I live in troutdale oregon. I recently purchased a 2020 hobie compass and have been loving it so far.  I went out to pc for the first time and got my first ever halibut and my first time out trolling for salmon at chinook landing i got a nice summer chinook pulling a 360 flasher and brads cut plug.  I can honestly say that im addicting to trolling for salmon they seem to really slam the lures. i plan on fishing the Columbia a lot for fall salmon this year from the mouth of the lewis all the way to the klickitat and everywhere in between.  If anyone is interested in meeting up lmk.  Tony

Welcome to the forum Tony.  Sounds like you are off to a great start with your compass on the salt.

That halibut was definitely a fun catch it felt like a log at first but once it got close to the surface it got really energetic!
