Thanks for the props all! He was a fun fish. I was literally headed back to the truck as the wind was picking up when he slammed me. Power boaters were gracious to give me space to play him. I've landed larger salmon from shore, but he's my personal best from a kayak.

All the bays are producing right now. I've hooked fish in both Alsea and Yaquina. Friends are hooking up in Siletz and Siuslaw. It's not hot, but there are flurries of action. When there are fish pushing 30 pounds available, it only takes one bite to turn a day into a great day  ;D.

Nice Fish!  And thanks for the information.

I really want to get out fishing in that bay- I’ve crabbed there a couple times, and have a yak ready to go in town.

Talkin' salmon. I picked up this guy on Alsea a couple weeks ago. 29.7 pounds after being bled and dead for a while  ;D.
