We will be returning to the Olympia area in 2021 when I retire.  Would love to meet some folks interested in kayak fishing on the sound or area lakes.  No kayak yet. I have been reading and reading on all the options including paddle or pedal.  Let me know who's in the area!

Welcome to the NWKA forum.  Great place to learn more about the sport (even when you are not close to the salt like me).  My retirement is a few years off but I am gathering gear to fish the North West pacific area when I retire.

Dreaming of retirement I see.  That makes two of us.

Where in Wyoming are you?  I started my career in Rock Springs working at the Jim Bridger plant!

Welcome to the forum! Lots of info in these pages and even more so on the experiences of the members. I am even further away from retirement, so fishing time is a bit limited. Personally I fish mainly in central Puget Sound but make forays into North and South Sound as well, let us know when you move in. Fall and winter are not a bad time to look for used kayaks, if you are considering those, as weather starts turning and people that had kayaks during warmer times sometimes change their minds and are put for sale.

I am in Cheyenne Randy.  I try to get to Flaming Gorge to chase the large lakers when I can.  Gearing up to chase Kokanee using some of the techniques some of the NWKA members have posted.  I want to pick up a toy hauler to allow me to haul my kayaks for extended trips to the coast in the future.  I figure after Covid settles down, there will be quite a few on the market at discount rates.

I am in Rocks Springs several times a year.  I spent a morning in Green River at the O'rielly's parts store lot Labor Day weekend replacing a hub after my trailer bearings self destructed.  They were very patient with me.
