Howdy folks,

I was pretty active on this forum waaaay back in the day (as Threeweight).  Long story short, sold my Hobie and OKs, moved into power boats (first an Arima, now a 22' Hewescraft).  My wife and I bought a fixer house a couple miles from Scappoose Bay/Multnomah Channel a few years ago, and after waaaay to many remodeling projects we finally decided to invest in a some new kayaks to enjoy it.

We have two Old Town's (a Sportsman 120 PDL and a 106 PDL) in transit to Next Adventure (hope to have them next week!)

I'll still be fishing the tin can on the ocean out of Newport and Ilwaco for salmon, halibut, and tuna when weather allows.  Hope to use the kayak to explore some local waters when the wind is howling on the coast, and maybe head up to the Cascade Lakes once and a while.

Much better fuel economy with the kayaks versus the Hewescraft.........

True, but a 45 mile run for tuna would take a while!

Welcome back 3weight!  I'm looking forward to seeing reports from you again.
