Hello all,  true newbie here. I'm brand new kayaking and haven't been fishing for over 20 years.
my wife decided I needed safer hobbies and bought me a fishing pole and two kayaks last month.
I know I have a lot to learn about both.. a lot to learn but I'm looking forward to it and will be searching on here for advice.

I am curious to know what your less safe hobbies were?

Also - in the spirit of the 'Introduce Yourself' thread - welcome.

used to desert race dirt bikes - my body said it could do it no more. and used to fight fires and chase bad guys - retired happily from that.
