I just wish I had caught Polepole's sledding attempt on video.  Turns out that drysuits aren't so dry if you don't forget to zip up your relief zipper.

I'll help you out Roy.

You think it would tip even if they were both strapped together and to the cart? The wheel base is fairly wide.

I think we just need to climb onto the kayaks on the top of the hill and have the first ever NWKA down hill kayak race.  ;D

I'm gonna go look at the South Cove tomorrow morning. My only concern for the South Cove is the south wind, could kick up a swell coming straight on to the beach.

Jesse, PM me your phone number and i'll call you with a report.
See ya on the water..

It was going fine, right up until the Zee shoved me off at the top of the incline.  It was all downhill after that.   ::)

was out there monday with a friend. south cove & sunset was too rad for me. went clamming, then fished the cribs (i'll mark it on  google map. Revo, correct me if i'm off). submerged jetty, tough place to fish w/o fish finder. anchored & fished the edge of the structure. got 3 hits, landed 1.

23 inch Monkeyface prickleback eel (Cebidichthys violaceus) I think
Anyone have a recipe?

COOL CATCH !!! Can you even eat it? Did it put up much of a fight? I wonder what you said when you brought it up to the surface.

it fought pretty good. not the strongest bite of the day though. I said what cby said when I landed it, but didn't puke. Supposed to be good eating. http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=3779

I've got a buddy who loves poke poleing for monkey face eel.  Says they're awesome to eat.  Haven't tried one myself but I'm firm believer that the uglier an ocean fish is, the better tasting they are.  ;D

Knowing Geoff it was either fried up in a pan with salt and pepper or broiled with salt and pepper.

His wife's the cook and she won't touch fish.  :D
