It started out a windy morning but the winds slowly died down around 11:00. The surf launch was a bit rough. Its the first time I have taken a wave that big. It slammed into my chest and almost took the wind out out of me. Swamped my yak. But once I got out there the ocean seemed to calm down a lot. Did not take long to get my limit. I was wanting to catch a big ling but the blacks would not stay off my line. I threw back about 8 blacks. Managed to catch a small ling on my way back in. All in all it was a good day of fishing. Zac

Nicely done. It looks like the south coast of OR is the new hotbed of kayak fishing in the NW.

A few shots of some of my fish, grass bass and ling caught where you got yours yesterday. the bigger ling I caught last winter, it was rough when I got around the jetty but I threw my line in and boom. I got him aboard and headed straight back, all in about 15 min.

No, I did a surf launch! They have the dock pulled up this time of year. Its a easy surf launch most times but not the other day. I got a little wet!!

Nice posts.  To heck with the stock market, I'm investing in lingcod futures.
