I was surprised this morning when i drove to the overlook at Sunset that the conditions were doable. A small miracle considering the NOAA report had a small craft advisory for today.

RoyG was there already when Ralph and i pulled in. we launched and fished the south side. Our buddy reed showed up about a half hour later.

I was on a catch and release kick today. Caught two 22 inch lings and tossed 'em back, caught a bunch of blacks and tossed all but two back. Had something very large slam my jig and proceed to wedge itself in the rocks, couldn't get him to budge at all and finally my line broke off..grrr!!

Ralph caught a 22 inch blue colored Ling, a few blacks and a stunning looking greenling, golden eyed beauty.

Not sure how Royg and Reed did, we left early..

See ya on the water..
Roy

Good for Ralph..  Reed and i went outside later found some blacks on a 40 to60 ft edge.. Reed caught a nice one, picture # 1 ,,,, picture #2 is Roy in his pet ling pocket,    He has this thing with a very nasty lingzilla that lives tight to a boiler rock there.. about half way through the day Roy goes in  there and hookes this pet ling od his.. They fight back and forth for a while  the ling trying to make his cave and Roy givein it all hes got while looking over his sholder as lingzilla trys to pull him to the boiler..  Second or third time now,, Just what they do i guess,,,,

Sure is nice to shove a yak into the truck bed, instead of having to lift it up to the top on cradles!
