live bait tanks

I thought Espiga's system was an attachment to the inside of the center 8" round hatch in his P15.  I am a bit leary of in-hull designs.  Any leak in the system and you'd just by filling up your yak with water.

Just a bigger live well and room for more bait!

i'd seen the same "tank" on the same model yak on, i believe Hook1, when i first got into this life , what? a bit over 18 months ago?

i think espiga had a big game or drifter @ Drano with us last year. [ which one had the square hatch part way under yer butt?] recall it takes at least two sonar batteries to run the pumps.

kind of agree with you, Allen, that's a lot of extra weight to carry, and then there's the possiblity that it will leak and dump all that water into your hull,  but it is a nice convienient way to carry your bait. guess we all have to decide what we consider acceptable risks.

As far as bait tubes go, they work OK, but they don't hold much bait and they attract sea lions and sharks.
