Nehalem Bay advice

Camping with my family at nehalem bay first week of August. Love to try out the fishing but I'm not sure what's biting and what they're biting. Any advice?

Haven’t fished it for a few years but it’s a salmon show from now until the end of September. I haven’t fished for cuttthroat there but my dad (who spent nearly every summer down there) raved about that fishery.

If the tides are right there’s Tillamook Bay, if there not right for yakin then you could always bank fish off the jetty rocks.

Edit: The tides are right, launch 2 hours before low tide, if I can’t join ya I’ll post up advise. Small jig heads 1/4 oz up to 2-3 oz and Burkley Gulp minnow swim baits.
