I'll be there. shooting to be on the beach around 630. Grey Subaru Ascent/Blue Hobie Compass. Planning on dropping a crab pot south of the rock and then just hitting bottom fish.

Quick question for anyone. Do we need a parking pass to launch from the beach at PC?
I've purchased the annual pass the last two years but don't have one this year. I've heard buzz that the pass is not required if you're launching and parking on the beach.
Just want to be sure of the rules.
Thanks.

Three trips with no pass this year. YET. I get it for fishing the Nehalem in the fall. You are good parking on the beach

If you park in the Pelican parking lot, you need a pass.  If you drive on the beach and park there, you don’t need a pass.  I verified that through Tillamook Co. shortly after buying my annual pass again.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

I landed about 2pm yesterday, and checker said a total of 15 coho had been brought in. I marked tons between buoy and 160' mark. Just not many biters.
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

I talked with the fish checker.
He said half a dozen so far, but I also talked with another kayaker and 4 of them caught 5.
No salmon love for me today.
I kept 3 rockfish.
