We had planned on launching at Fogarty, and targeting halibut, but the surf there was daunting, so did Depoe instead. SUPER fast current made things difficult. The fish were hard to find, but super bitey once we found em. Ended up with 14 ling, all but 3 were legal, but none were over 26"ish. 22 quality black rf, 2 cabs, and one greenling. What I assume was a huge ling or cab, took a screaming run, and busted me off on the reef. It wasn't what we had planned, but it was still a fun day.
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?
