Looking at the weather, it should be nice this weekend up in Whatcom county.  I'm thinking of hitting Lake Terrel in Ferndale to reach for some bass or soak a worm for some trout.  Not sure if I'll be out on Sat or Sun, maybe even Friday afternoon. I was out on Terrel early last week and water temp was already 56 in the shallow NW corner.

Reply or PM me if you feel like hookin' up.  The GF and the doc (not necessarily in that order) would be more comfortable if I had a fishin' buddy.  I got reamed for going out alone last week.  So much for sneaking out....  :protest:

YM,
I can probably join you on whichever day you pick (except Friday). Let's touch base later in the week when the weather picture is a little clearer.

yessnoo, if you're interested too, we can carpool from my house (I'll drive this time).

I've got my eye on the weather, looks like predictions haven't changed much. At this point, I'm leaning toward Saturday. I can be flexible, so if anyone else's schedule doesn't work for Saturday, just say so.  I might be able to go out 2 days concurrently, might be pushin' it.

NY, I'll pm my phone info.

Brian,
Saturday works for me, especially now that I'm NOT heading to Oregon to fish with Spot. This morning I logged in just long enough to fall for Spot's April "fools" joke http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,2636.msg24326.html#msg24326 I swallowed the hook on this one! I even rescheduled a Saturday evening get together with some recently laid off coworkers.

I'll call you tomorrow or Friday to firm up the details.

Date and time are set. We'll be meeting at a smaller side launch at Lake Terrel at noon.

The sun broke out today at about 10am, and I'm hoping for a repeat performance of nice blue sky tomorrow.   :icon_sunny: Everybody is welcome, the lake should be at a yearly high temp, so let's see if we can coax some lmb's out of the weeds!

YM,

K.  I feel like I'm cheating NogginYakker out of his report, but I can't wait to get a pic of his HAWG posted. I'll just post the worst of the pics. Forgive me Karl....

Thanks, Roy! I'm going to start a separate thread to report on not only Saturday at Lake Terrell, but also Sunday at a small lake north of Seattle.

Hey..  I thought all the bass in Washington where protected by a slot limit (i.e. they never get larger than 17").   Good job guys.

BTW, the two 20.5" AOTY bass you posted, what are the chances that the same bass was just really aggressive and you both caught the same one?  I love how feisty they get during pre-spawn.

These were from two different lakes weren't they?

Yep, I guess I should read the notes next time.  I guess I need to get out there while the 20.5 inchers are biting.
