First I was going to just ask if there was a public fish cleaning station anywhere in the Cape Kiwanda area, but figured I'd go ahead and start a thread where people could post known public fish cleaning stations they know of.

If ya know of a public chopp'n block near a fishing hole, please post it here.

Newport Bay Marina.  There is one by the Rogue Brewery, and another by the boat launch drive thru.

I *think* there's one at the Brighton Marina just below Wheeler on the Nehalem River.

I know you can clean crab there.

Webb County Park at Cape Kiwanda had a nice fish cleaning station which worked well at the Kayak Classic last year, other than the obnoxious boater who insisted on fileting other folks catches.  Not sure if you have to camp there to use it or not.  Some good fixins for crab bait in the garbage can too.

If you are fising out of Wheeler, you can use the cleaning station on the docks of the marina. Just tie up the yak and go for it. I don't remember the owners name, but he would love to get a photo of any yak caught salmon.

I am so dang excited about the fall Nehalem fishery! I'll probably make my first run out there on the 4th of July.

Lot's of them here. I like the one at Empire boat launch(on the NWKA google map) because you can dump the carcasses in the dumpster, doesn't smell too good. the charleston boat basin is good when the tackle store is open because you can get drop them at the store but you can't dump them in the water or the dumpster there.
See ya on the water..

Here's where the fish cleaning station is at Cape Kiwanda

The Wheeler Marina owner's name is Jim.  My dad fishes down there all summer and fall starting about the second week of July.  Jim is a big supporter of kayakers/kayak fisherman.  If you get a chance, drop a dime at his shop for herring or whatever if you make it down for the summer/fall chinook fishery.  Good guy.
