I am tired of my old soft sided tackle box on the Yak and am wondering what the best type of containment method Y'all have found.
I like my tackle in front of me, usually just between my feet in a P-13. I was thinking an all plastic larger box and just putting in smaller plano flat boxes? Whatcha think?

i use the softsided tackle boxes...i sort my tackle by highest use to low use and only keep the highest use box sitting on the deck between my knees under the bungee...the rest of the softsided bag in leave behind me in the milk crate...that way i have immediate access to things i need all the time right in front of me and yet if something odd is needed i have access in long term stowage behind me...keeps the clutter down in front of me too because i only have a small organizer box on the deck

I like the small Plano boxes,, drill a small hole in a corner., thread a leash cord through and tie a knot inside to keep it there. Have the tackle store in truck.

I use worm wallets in the same way.  (Smaller versions of offshore wallets)

Tie a lanyard and stick in the hull...  I put knots in the end closest to me, so I know which worm wallet is which.

When I need jig heads or hooks, I pull out Wallet #1.

When I was soft bodied jigs, I pull out #2

When I was spinners, flashers or hoochies...#3...

When I want hard bodied crankbaits, #4...

Actually it's how far I went up the beach after a burst of speed from the turbo fins! >:D

yup, I have one of those Plano boxes as well.
I stow it just as you do Zee, 'cept I use it as a "boat box". It's got all my goodies like an air horn, extra "hot hands" etc...
