I finally decided to bite the bullet and order our new kayaks.  We ended up buying a pair of Native Watercraft Manta Ray 12's.  I really liked the layout and after reading some good reviews I went ahead and ordered them.  We wound up getting a pair of 2008 models with free paddles and free shipping to Tacoma for $1500.  Seemed like a good deal to me.  Anyway, there sitting in the garage now just waiting for their maiden voyage Friday.  I can't wait!  After a couple trips out I'm going to rig mine up for fishing and see about getting out and trying my luck.  Now to decide if I want the red one or the yellow one...hmmmm.

OH man very nice, very slick looking. So when are we going out for hali? (relax, when ever your ready. would love to show you some spots) I looked at the native water craft, they have one that has a peddle powered prop on it. Very pricey though. I think you got a good deal on those two. I know a good spot you and the wife can go to have anice weekend and paddle, and you can fish too. all right out the back door of your room.

Thanks!  I'm definitely anxious to do some fishing.  Having to drive by the boat launch on Ediz Hook and see everyone out in the strait everytime I go to work has got me primed up and ready to go!  I think we're going to try right along the hook the first time since we can stay shallow and it's just down the hill from our house.  Either there or the spot you PM'd me.  Once or twice out to get my bearings and adjust to paddling the yak and I'll be ready to head out.  I'm hoping the following weekend if weather/work/wife all align properly!  How'd you and your buddy do this weekend?  Is he shopping for a yak yet?  ;D

He had a lot fun and took to it pretty quick. He liked it and kept asking how much a rig would set him back. So I guess I will see. I think I need to get him out and on some fish first for it to really set in as he just paddled and I fished very little.

Those are nice Yaks. Those wells in the back sure are deep, wonder how wet it gets in there, lots of area for big fish...
See ya on the water..
