If you go through the the article it has some interesting stuff to say about PP.

That's what people keep saying to me when i mention it. A cheap hi-point 9mm would do the trick..

All sorts of keystone kayak scenarios leap to mind.  I'm pretty experienced with firearms and I'm not sure I want to start firing a handgun from my kayak at a fish in the water.  First, even small calibers are LOUD!  Second, salt water will a trash a handgun in little time.  If y'all are serious, a .38 revolver would be plenty of fire power for a fish.  I think you want something simple, so probably a revolver, and something easily disassembled for rinsing and lubing.

That's a great point. I know a lot of people shoot their flatties when they fish from a PB. But as it is, it's a pretty big challenge to keep ourselves safe out there already. Throwing a hand grenade in the mix may be a bit much.

Guns and water- bad mix.  My mom and I used to shoot gulls with a 22 n the shore of Lake Huron when I was a kid, we got in big trouble with ricochets once, some fishermen  who were not even visible had some bullets zinging around their boat, we got a visit from the Coast Guard. They were pissed!!

Whoa there, pardner.  Don't go putting words in my mouth.  While I may be reluctant to shoot a handgun from a pitching, rolling kayak, I've no such reticence when it comes to throwing a hand grenade.  If you got some, sign me up!

That's one big halibut.  I bet it's an Atlantic halibut given it's size and the Norwegian text on the photo.

Give that man a cigar!

Looks like a lot of fish get pretty big in Norway. How's this for a cod?

Wow, I have never seen a purple halibut before! Looks a little Photoshop'd to me.
