Seeing the photo of the Hobie Zee posted in the Hobie Anchor Trolley thread was very interesting.  Seeing the launch tube rod holders, the cooler, the net, and the milk crate setup and securing was quite helpful in planning my own setup.

Perhaps others would like to post photos of their yaks?  The many newbies may benefit from seeing such examples.

Why stop at that monster sonar screen,  I think you may still have room for a 21" screen.   ;D

Interesting that your yak has no front hatch.   :-\

Yo! I know everyone wants a big screen (in the family room). I just love my old Hummingbird portable.  The batteries last and last, I have never had a leak, and it works really well.  I know the old thing is HUGE, but it fits under my main hatch!

The Emotion Co. made two fisherman models that I'm aware off and I have the one without the front hatch.  There is still a ton of room for me to use.  I really am interested in a Cobra or a OK, but every time I head out in my ride I can't justify the purchase-yet. >:D

The bow looks like it may be flat enough to add one of those triangle "A" hatches from Cobra similar to the one you have in the middle.

I had a Cobra Navigator with an A hatch. It as a nice dry hatch and never leaked, but it was a pain to use.  Every time I wanted to open or close it I had 8 toggles to deal with... flip up, twist,  flip up, twist,  flip up, twist,  flip up, twist,  flip up, twist,  flip up, twist,  flip up, twist,  flip up, twist, ... get something,.... twist, flip down, twist, flip down, twist, flip down, twist, flip down, twist, flip down, twist, flip down, twist, flip down, twist, flip down!

I installed an A-Hatch on my Cobra Explorer.  Installation was smooth and easy.  The hatch even came with a template and rivets.

The T-handles do take some time but it's worth it to know that the next wave you take over your bow isn't going to fill you yak with water.....  You know what I mean don'tcha Brian?  >:D

At this point opening his front hatch isn't even an option, so any amount of latches on a usable hatch lid that seals great would be a positive improvement.   I'm sure with that many latches to deal with, you have to plan your needs a little more carefully.

Nice work.  How do you get to the cooler?  Flip around and straddle the milk crate?

I don't know how I would reach the front hatch on the water with my current setup.  Either way I don't have one, and outside of drilling rod mounts, not to big into the idea of cutting a gaper hole.

I reach the cooler with my left arm by grabbing the handle and pulling it up, it looks difficult probably in the pic- but it's not a problem.  I will have to admit my big screen is BIG, and now I am self conscious about it.  I'd have it removed but the doctors say it's not necessary.  I had thought all the people were pointing at how big my fish were, now I know the real story.  How sad for me.  I'm feeling like I have a Vic 20 or a Commodore 64 attached to my yak  :laughing7: .

Really though, I'm starting to think about giving myself some space and changing that.  Coming back from the Columbia yesterday I think having some more wiggle room would be nice.  So the great adventure continues...

Nice pic of the rigged Emotion, where is that boat now?
