This Sunday and Monday. I haven't really been out in a while. My freezer is looking bare. Coastal tides are not in favor. Seas look reasonable at this time but that is likely to change. Very warm PDX temps predicted = lots of PBs and stereos on the Willy near Newberg...

What to do? Where to go?

I might be looking to do something on Sunday.  I'm just not sure when I can escape yet.   Anyway, I'd be up for just about anything...in no particular order... Drano springers, Willy sturgeon or smallmouth, Hagg trout or smallmouth, Smith & Bybee for largemouth, etc..

My wife is out of town until Sunday evening so I have the day pretty much to my leisure...

Even a little driving isn't out of the question. Oh, wait a minute. Any decent fishing involves a bit of driving  :o

If the weather forecast holds, I'd love to get out on the Nehalem in the morning...even with a mild outgoing tide.

Drano has been a zoo, but they are catching a few. Opening weekend for salmon and steelhead on the Klickitat.

I was actually thinking about Drano for Monday. I still need to get my new WA license though.

I haven't had any luck in the Multnomah Channel for bass, but then again I've only half-heartedly tried once.

I fished tidewater on the nehalem last week. I don't think there is much happening....didn't even get my usual cutty. water was gin clear. That being said, I'm pretty sure I will be there Sunday and Monday 5/17 & 18.....probably surfing, maybe bottom fishing.

If any of you guys are going to be around that area for fishing, I would love to get salty with ya.

I keep thinking about heading south ... but but but ... any of you WA boys want to do some down riggin' for lakers at Cle Elum Lake?  It's a lot closer to Seattle than a 4 hour drive to Drano or OR coast.
