That, my friend, can get a little interesting. OC  from the bridge to Clackamette  park has lots of current and LOTS of boats. :o Definitely yakfishing 200.
Doable, but dicey.

I have trolled that area lots, but to be honest I've never anchored.   What about the Milwaukie area near the Jefferson ramp?  Bsteves and I fished that tonight for bass, seems to be a lot less current than OC.  Or if there are better places, I can drive.

I was in North Bonneville and Cascade Locks last night. I didn't go fishing but I saw plenty of people fishing for shad right below the dam and lots of people fishing for salmon in Cascade Locks.
The river up here in Hood River was dead glass last night, if I wasn't going to help my friend with his broken down car, I would have hit it for smallmouth out of Bingen Marina. Because of snowmelt, they are letting lots of water out of the Bonneville Dam, the water is extremely rough, even down at Strawberry Island or Beacon Rock, there will be turbulent water.

Just down river a bit is really good when they get going. I launch at Cedar Oak on the west side of the river and if you launch from Meldrum bar it's a short paddle down river from the eastside. For whatever reason, most folks don't fish much down from Meldrum. I guess they like the company. :dontknow: The fish have to pass there on their way up and they don't seem to mind biting.

That water is FLOWING from the falls to Clackamette park and usually looks like a marina during Shad madness. I know I sold some Hobies when I pedaled up through them to the base of the falls effortlessly while sleds were running at least half throttle just to make headway upstream. ;D

But anchoring higher up is challenging to say the least and resulted in one of two of my career unintentional huli's. (ok, 3 ::) )
Ruffled some feathers on the ifish board, but they eventually fell back into place. ;D
