I met up with Please_Send_Rescue at the Milwaukie boat ramp to deliver a hawg trough and try some local bass fishing after work for a few hours.  My fish finder battery died after a few minutes so  I was blind looking for good habitat in unfamiliar waters.  After an hour or so I wandered upon a kayak angler fishing for sturgeon in a deep hole upriver a bit.  Just when I got within about 20 yards of the unfamiliar kayaker he sets the hook and I proceeded to watch him land a nice sturgeon.  I let him get a decent measurement against my kayak markings and sure enough it was right in the middle of the slot.

Hopefully, we'll have a new member soon.

As for the bass fishing, PSR managed a tiny one right about the time we headed in for the night.  I didn't get even a nibble.

Beautiful fish.  Not as pretty as Zee's big tender teelhead, but a nice fish none-the-less. ;D
