This is last minute but I'm thinking that I'm going to hit picnic point for some more flounder action.  If anyone is looking to do some fishing and wants a tag-along or wants to tag-along let me know.

I'd be interested - I'll have to round up a Kayak though... let me know when you're going and perhaps I can get it going.

Regards, Gary

How did you do?  I would have took you up on your offer but I had made other weekend plans before I saw your post?  I'm not familiar with Picnic Point.  Is there a good place to launch there?  Also, what kinda set up do you use there for flounder?

Thanks.

I was out there with Yak strong...Man, He was tearing em' up (flounder)  I was catching a few here and there but not quite as consistently.  We ended up switching gears at around 3:00 when a 20' cut jumped about 5' from the back of my yak ;D  After a quick change to a silver castermaster Yak strong was all over them.  I got one  16"er  on a 1/8 oz blue and silver thomas buoyant trolling over the point in 9' of water.  Thanks for the help Yak,
Oh yeah...The launch is a bit rocky (fist size).  A few logs around make it real hard without good wheels.

Great job guys!  Wish I could have joined you two.  Looks like I'll have to invest in a cart too.  Seems like I keep spending more and more on this sport.  LOL

Ronbo, I've seen a number of PVC carts break.  Do you reinforce your version in any way?

I actually test ran my PVC cart on this adventure.  It made it over the logs and some pretty good size rocks as well.  I chose to reinforce mine with wooden dowls placed tightly inside the PVC frame to stiffen things up a bit.  Seemed to work out fairly well, no telling though how long it will last.

My first PVC cart broke while going over a log. The second version was made using thicker Schedule-40 PVC pipe, and I inserted a smaller pipe in the lower cross-section for reinforcement. This one has held up well.

I was thinking that this would work  ???(only for loading and unloading kayak off of rack)   I have a nice little grind spon on the rudder gate and want to prevent it in the future.  I got a pair of kids bike training wheels and I'm thinking about mounting them for quick release on the rudder...any suggestions?

I built a wood (plywood and 1x1s) skid plate for stern skeg and rudder for loading and unloading.  Held in place by bungees - drill holes in plywood for bungee hooks.
