My Buddy and I fished Ochoco late this afternoon.  I had both my daughters on my yak and we all hit the willows.  There was a  light wind, but the willows gave some added protection.  An evening thunderstorm was brewing and we got out of there before it got real nasty.  I think we took home about 30 crappie.  They tasted great!  We also caught two bullhead catfish on the crappie jigs.  Here is a picture of My Buddy with some of the fish.

A nice haul.  I remember similar days with sunfish when I was a kid.  And they were mighty tasty too.

I was inspired by this post and hit Ochoco on the evening of the 17th.  My mistake.  Filleting 31 into the dark hours.  But what a tasty mistake.

Nice haul of panfish.

I highly recommend an electric fillet knife if you ever have to fillet a mess of panfish.  It speeds things up and reduces the effort.
