There is nothing I hate more than disposing of fish carcasses at home -_-.

I brought the fish I caught a few weeks ago home  on ice to clean.  They kept very well, the problem was that was a Friday and my garbage collection is on Thursday morning.. d'oh!.   I'm guessing I'm not on my local waste management engineer's good list.

Thinking ahead due to the "ripple effect" of my garbage going out Friday morning, I was not about to have fish guts in my can for a week.  Thus the reason to stay and clean fish down there at Webb county park with Yakintup.  Did that once before with crab carcasses. Not a pleasant smell!   :puke:

My plan is to get a big "man freezer" in the garage for bait, all my fish fillets, and other frozen goodies from places like Costco.   If I have a bit of extra room in there I also plan on freezing my fish carcases for crab bait or simply freezing them until garbage night.

I'm still working on approval for the man freezer purchase with the domestic requisition department.

I just vacuum pack the carks and freeze them for crab bait.  A secondary benefit is that it freaks the kids out to have a freezer full of fish staring at them when they go searching for ice cream or popsicles.  >:D

Me too!  Only my domestic requisition department has demanded it, but I have too much junk in the way at the moment.

One thing I thought of in the mean time regarding freezing the carcs instead of crab bait, would be to take the frozen guts and sink them off shore on the way out to the fishing hole.  Can you think of any reasons not to do this?

I've been wanting to do the same. Always some great deal on CL.
