I've reserved and paid for site A01 at Beverly Beach.  I'm still not 100% sure if I can make it, but I figure someone might want to go last minute if I can't.

Brian

B, I'm assuming it's ok if I park a car in your spot, or someone's spot.  Not 100% sure I can make this but I'm 100% sure I'm going to try my hardest to do so.

no, we didn't restrict the launch points last year. i think that being it was the 1st ever PC event, we herd mentalitied  and went out together.. which is great cause thats a sign of trust and leadership among people who've not been friends all that long.

as i recall we did have a few folks who launched at other areas and came in later in the day with their catches..

i dont recall us having an alternate per se, tho i do remember some talk of estuary fishing among a few friends for the 2nd or 3rd day . but, imho, yeha an alternate would be a great idea, especially since you are going to have a lot of people coming in from long drives off all points of the compass. sure would save on the sour grapes feelings if big blue doesnt co-operate.

I'm allowed to set up two tents at my site and Zee already claimed the other spot. However, if I can't make it you can have my side of the spot.

Meanwhile, I'm sure someone else will have a spot to themselves that will be willing to share.

I don't need a tent spot.  I'll sleep in my truck.

This sounds like an outright blast everyone.  I've been looking forward to this all year.  The only thing that could keep me away would be if I was going fishing on a bareboat charter offshore of La Paz or something like that.   :(  Oh yea.  I am.    So sorry I won't be there but I'll be thinking about you all and hopefully doing the blue marlin sleigh ride while your catching em' up too.

The venue for this event is Depoe Bay so we should all be launching in the same general area.

I could be convinced to provide a light Indian food (rice, dal and a curry) supper on Friday evening at my tent site for those that would be interested.

Count me in PP! What kinda beer should I bring? :occasion14:

Most folks showing up Friday night I assume?  I could be convinced to provide a light Indian food (rice, dal and a curry) supper on Friday evening at my tent site for those that would be interested.

I can't believe I missed this.  I'll be there with the girlfriend, our five kids and probably 2 or 3 of their friends. What time is dinner?   ;)

Sounds like we'll fill up that block of spaces we've reserved just for Friday dinner...

Just an FYI to check the first post in this thread from time to time as we'll be updating prizes periodically.
Thanks.

How far is it from the day use parking to site A1?   My folks are going to be on this adventure with us, and we'll need two parking spots during the potluck.  I'll be on my own with the kayak, and my wife, kids and folks will be in another vehicle.

Oh, and how long after 3:30 you figure that the potluck will begin?   I really hate to be late or TOO early for these kinds of things.

Here's a link to the map.  A1 isn't as close as the B group of sites to the day use parking, but it is pretty close relative to most of the camping.  Here's the camp map.

Maybe next time we can try for some group camp site(s).
