Just wondering if anyone has tried this product in an SOT.  I'm thinking of getting one for my T-13.  I'm short and have a difficult time with the factory rudder controls.

Thanks

Seems functional.  You'll need to take up nearly all the slack in your cables, as the throw on the pedal lever is not long.

Thanks Demonick.

There's not a lot of slack as it is. I had to make some mods so the rudder controls would work with my short legs.  As it is, I may even have to buy new rudder cables as the mods included shortening the cables.   :(

I have them.  I am using them on a kayak I am building right now and will probably put them on all future yaks.  Got them from Duckworks, which I believe is where that video is from.  I have them controlling a Hobie Twist and stow rudder I got from Austin Canoe and Kayak.  I used stainless steel downrigger cable as the control lines and 1/4 inch drip tubing (100 ft for $4  rather than $12 for 20ft from a marine supplier) from Home Depot as the cable tubing.  Also, used 1/4 cable/satellite wire clips (18/$1.19 form HD or Lowes) rather than spend 50 cents a piece.

I have heard a lot of great things about these rudder controllers on other forums I visit.

Hey,  I was skimming your board and thought I'd chime in.

I have the sea dogs on my T-15.  They've performed very well for me.

Here's a thread at NCKA.org that shows how I rigged my trident with details on how I chose to install the sea-dogs.  Hope its helpful.
